Anjanette and Justin

Anjanette and Justin were married at the Pines at Genesee on March 20. This wedding was especially fun for us because they were both clients and family friends. Jordan and Anjanette grew up together, so it was an honor for us to be a part of making their wedding dreams come true.

Anjanette's mom Connie is a very talented florist we use frequently for our weddings and events. Because she was playing the dual role of vendor and Mother of the Bride, she elected to create the centerpieces ahead of time using silk flowers. The bouquets and most personal flowers were fresh. Everything was just gorgeous! Anjanette's bouquet was one of the most beautiful we have seen.

Amsale Bridesmaid Trunk Show

We received an email from Bella Bridesmaid at 300 Josephine in Cherry Creek and thought we'd share the information with you.

Moment Junkie

We're loving the new blog Moment Junkie. The blog, which is curated by photographers Ryan Brenizer and Kyle Hepp, is "devoted to showcasing the best in contemporary wedding photojournalism, with a focus on moments between people that are timeless, heartbreaking, hilarious, or all of the above."

These are fantastic shots that showcase the parts of the wedding that we just love: the spontaneous, emotional and fun things that happen outside of the perfectly posed portrait sessions.

Reese's Tea Party

As much fun as it is to create events for our clients, there is something special about pulling off a sweet event for our own family. This tea party was for Jordan's daughter's first birthday. This year has gone by so quickly!

We've done photobooths many times before for other events, but this was the first time we've done it for our own event. It was hilarious!

Mid-Winter Clearance

One of our favorite florists, Connie Wheat with Creative Creations (see her work here, here and here), is running a mid-winter clearance sale.

She will be reducing her inventory and selling custom floral arrangements, fall and winter arrangements, holiday floral decorations, decorative glassware and creative accessories.

The sale will be held from 10 a.m.-4 p.m. on Feb. 11 and 12 at 5712 Secrest Court in Golden. For questions, call 303-216-9392.

Pantone Color of the Year

Pantone has announced that Honeysuckle 18-2120 is the color for 2011.

According to the organization, "Honeysuckle emboldens us to face everyday troubles with verve and vigor. A dynamic reddish pink, Honeysuckle is encouraging and uplifting. It elevates our psyche beyond escape, instilling the confidence, courage and spirit to meet the exhaustive challenges that have become part of everyday life."


The marketing copy is a bit over-the-top, but the color is lovely (and you know we love all sorts of pinks). It will be interesting to see how this color is used for wedding and event palettes this year.

We are currently in the process of rebuilding the Cachet Weddings and Events website. The new design will be mobile-phone friendly as it will not use Flash. Our blog will be integrated with the site.

We have some great images to show you from recent events, including Lauren and Ben's beautiful Christmas wedding in Golden. When the new site and blog are up and running, we will post those there.

Jordan is having a wonderful time planning a girly tea party for her daughter's first birthday in February. She'll be sure to post pictures after the party!
