Postage increase

Here's a warning to summer and fall brides! The United States Postal Service is raising its postage rates effective May 11. Before you purchase stamps for your invitations, make sure you know how the increase will impact you. We highly recommend that you take a completed invitation set to your local post office to have it weighed before you make any postage purchases. Better safe than sorry!

Special E: Saving the planet one event at a time

There are many companies popping up to help people throw “green events.”

Special E is a new service that rescues leftovers from meetings, conferences, trade shows, banquets, parties, weddings, and special events.

At the end of your event, Special E will send a “rescue squad” to pick up unused items. Among other services, the company will deliver leftover food to local foodbanks and shelters, compost buffet scraps, recycle cans and bottles from your bar and deliver floral arrangements to hospitals and nursing homes.

The company charges a nominal fee to cover their costs. The fee is based on the type, size, timing, and location of the event and the type of leftover items they are rescuing.

The service is available in 30 markets, including Denver.

What a great idea!

After a full day of site visits, Ashleigh and Parshad chose to host their wedding at Columbine Country Club. The minute they walked in the door they knew that it was the right place for them.

The venue offers unlimited time, no mimimums, and fabulous dressing rooms and grounds.

It will be fun to help them create a beautiful wedding at a beautiful venue!

Happy Thanksgiving

Some of our out-of-town clients will be visiting for the weekend, so we will be spending Friday on a tour of several wedding venues. Hopefully by Friday night we will know where they will be hosting their wedding! We will post details of our visits on Monday.
